I absolutely love this vet! The doctor, staff, and assistants are all so nice, patient, and genuinely helpful. The clinic is very clean and it doesn’t have that strong smell that so many other vets do. They found a solution to our dogs allergies, and we are so thankful!

I love the care that my dog Gizmo gets at Barden Animal clinic. Veterinarian Laura is awesome, especially because Gizmo is a difficult dog to deal with. She give me excellent advice on the continuing care for Gizmo. I would highly recommend Barden Animal clinic to my friends and family

I’m seeing a trend where Bardens ONLY replies to good google reviews, so just throwing this out there. Sometime during 2020-2021 I brought my pet rat to the clinic seeing Dr. Brian Norton. He’d had a stroke and wasn’t making progress at home and needed to be put down. Dr. Norton administered a sedative of some kind and told us to hold him until Boomerang (the rat) calmed. He didn’t get sleepy so the vet administered more and left the room to wait. When he returned, my partner and I said Boomerang wasn’t sedated enough. Dr. Norton claimed there was no way he could be lucid given the amount of sedative. We trusted the vet and watched him administer the euthanasia shot. Boomerang lurched upwards as he was pierced in the heart by the needle. Dr. Norton and attendant had a shocked look on their faces as he made his last squeak. That memory is burned into my brain image for image. I’ve taken a long time making this review because it hurt so bad to see my baby die that way. I hope the vet in charge that day is gone because he obviously wasn’t invested in animal well-being. I recommend that anyone looking for small animal care look very closely at the vets available these days and make decisions for themselves, not based on vet recommendation. I don’t remember the exact day, but I remember the look on their faces when my baby shot up in obvious pain after a needle to the heart. I genuinely hope that more caring and educated veterinarians are employed now. My case happened roughly 5 years ago and I think about it regularly. It was traumatic. Best of luck to anyone who comes to Dr. Norton. I genuinely hope people have a better experience than I had now that it’s been a few years. I’ve come to terms with it as much as I can, but it’s not a story that can be untold
