Morris Animal Hospital

All the doctors and nurses went above and beyond to help me with my baby girl. They checked in on her, even after we left the emergency appointment and they never stopped checking in on her. They were always so passionate towards not only my dog, but my children and me as well. Thank you for being the best vet around and genuinely caring about your pets and their people.

Great Staff, easy scheduling, great experience with Dr Jamie

Provided excellent quality care for our dog over the past 8 years. Helped to navigate the end of life decisions with kindness and tact. Would recommend.

I had been taking my two pets to them for three years. During this time, I really hadn’t had any problems except getting appointments without having to pay for an emergency visit with them. The last time I was there, my pet wasn’t breathing real well they took x-rays , blood work, and did an ultrasound and diagnosed him having Hemangiosarcoma and I was told he was bleeding internally and would die. I was then told by the veterinarian that was Working with me that she had to leave so she gave me another veterinarian. I was told I could take him over to the emergency clinic, but they doubt that they could do anything for him because he might need a blood transfusion and it would cost me a lot of money and he may not even make it and the EVOC may not have the blood. I wanted to take him home and he wanted to go home. I needed to comprehend what I was told. I asked them to give me the bill so I could pay, and there was discrepancy on the bill from what they quoted me but of course that was my problem. . Then the veterinarian that took over, decided that I need to sign some kind of release of medical form which I was in a state of shock at the time and I wouldn’t sign it because I knew I wasn’t thinking properly to sign a paper because my dog was just given a death sentence when he had been acting fine in days before that. The vet got mad and went and ran off a copy and slide it in front of me and I again I told her I will take it home and look it over, but I will not sign it until then. I’m not mentally thinking to sign some kind of paper. She told me she was covering her butt and the gal that was her assistant got snippy with me about the Bill because I told her to either send me the bill in the mail and I’ll pay it and let’s process it now so I could leave because I was leaving with my pet. If I was on a timeframe of him dying I sure didn’t want to spend it there I wanted to spend it with my pet. I called the next day and asked for the records to be sent to me and then I asked for a manager to let them know what was said to me. It turns out that the manager was all for their staff, which is so typical and they no longer wanted to care for my pet, even though they didn’t offer me any kind of care whatsoever other than they wanted to put my dog down right then and there. As they gave him a death sentence. On top of it, he did pass away a day and 1/2 later and they didn’t even have the decency to plant a tree in his behalf as they did for my previous dog. Cold hearted and actually very cruel and non sympathetic after giving you a diagnosis like they did. I did seek a second opinion from Dr. Hadley at Lincolnway Veterinary prior who actually explained things a lot better to me than they did . They showed more care and compassion and even sent me a card signed by all of them. I would think twice before I would take my pet to Morris. They have all the bells and whistles, and they sure have the prices to match but when it comes to compassion and kindness they don’t have that. Cold!

Knowledgeable, friendly, low stress environment. We have brought all of our animals here to establish care and they have treated us very well.
